The Jade Loft is Charlie Wood, a Sydney-based wedding filmmaker who films across Australia, Italy and Europe, with more than a decade in commercial filmmaking behind him.
Charlie blends documentary storytelling with a cinematic eye, and his approach is natural and unobtrusive, focused on real moments, the people you love and the little things that make a wedding yours. Sound matters as much as image: vows, speeches, laughter and the voices of family and friends are woven through each film to bring back the atmosphere of the day. Super 8mm film complements the digital coverage for selected moments, adding a nostalgic, tactile quality.
We love Charlie for couples who want a film they’ll come back to for years, one that returns them to how the day felt.
Good to know: Charlie films in Italy and Europe from May to September, and takes on a limited number of weddings each year.
