Best men’s suits for an Italian wedding

From classic tailoring to light-weight linen and knock-it-out-of-the-park tuxes, an Italian wedding really does lend itself to any suit. Think comfort, consider temperature and above all, don’t forget to buy a few extra shirts as you will want a refreshing change before dinner! Your venue and the landscape around it should feed into your suit decision, as well as the style and vibe you want to achieve.

A little advice from us…..

To all those ‘laidback’ men out there (you know who you are), PLEASE don’t leave it until the last minute to try on the suit - especially if you’re going to be front and centre at the wedding!

And a tip for the ‘organised’ groom - pack some additional pins for the boutonnieres (flowers for the button-holes), as sometimes the florist won’t have spares.

Now let’s go shopping…..

Cool in Linen

Percival

A true Italian look right there in linen, but if green isn’t your colour then this comes in a classic navy and dreamy light blue - Amalfi vibes all the way.

Hawes and Curtis

After a wide range of suits? Look no further than Hawkes and Curtis. Their collection ranges from linen, like this - which can we just say is the perfect Italian blue. But if you are feeling bold (and we really hope you are!) then their pink linen 2 or 3 piece will be sure to make a statement.

And bonus, their Italian linen suits are specifically designed for outdoor summer ceremonies.

Marks & Spencer

If it’s good enough for the England football team, then it’s good enough for us!

A traditional brand delivering some fine Italian linen suits - 2 piece and 3 piece available, as well as a double breasted jacket. Plus, they use 'miracle’ fabric linen, so you don’t have to worry about creasing.

As much as we love a 3 piece look, consider the wedding day forecast before you jump to buy!

Dapper in a Tux

Reiss

Bring the heat in one Reiss’ beautifully styled tuxedos. Okay, so a tux and a scorching Italian afternoon might not be a match made in heaven - but yes the groom and his team will look full of swag in these. Worth it for fashion and the photos, right! Remember, just pack a shirt change…or two!
