How much will stationery cost for your Italian wedding?

Your wedding story begins the moment you send out your chosen wedding stationery. It’s an opportunity for you to set the tone to your guests as to what type of wedding they will be attending. Are you going for a modern, slick design to represent your style as a couple, or a classic Italian, more traditional feel? Drawing out a colour from one of your wedding day flowers or commissioning an illustration of the venue is a lovely cohesive way to bring your pre-wedding and on the day styling together. Bespoke illustrations are a big trend at the moment, but be prepared to pay more for this style. Currently average stationery budgets sit at around 1,000-2,000 euro.

Stationery costs depend on the design time, the designer themselves, the type of printing, type of paper and the quantity you’re printing. To give you a full picture of what you should expect to pay, the pricing given below takes these variables into account as much as possible. You will need to decide whether you are after bespoke designs and a more personalised experience or whether you are content with using some of the many wider options available - Etsy and Papier.

Stationery: Ink & Paper

Some stationers work on a cost per design item, adding printing on top; whilst others will quote for the total cost per item ie. for 60 invites: a. design fee @ 250 euro + printing @ 250 euro or b. total invites 500 euro.

We strongly suggest you start by brainstorming everything you think you want and brief into the designer to quote for all. Good stationers get booked up fast, so get your dates over to them ahead of time. Then, prioritise your stationery by importance and should you need to save budget, trust us you really don’t need it all!
