Gianluca + Luca’s deeply personal tribute to love in Puglia

Driven by creativity and a love of spectacle, Gianluca + Luca designed their wedding with the same vision and confidence that define their work. After ten years together, and as the duo behind LORO Production, a conventional celebration was never on the table. Instead, they created a two-day experience layered with deep red tones, immersive performances and theatrical styling. Dramatic by design and rooted in Southern Italian soul, it was unapologetically them: bold, daring, and not just a carefully curated production, but a deeply personal tribute to their love.

The Welcome

“The wedding took place over two days, with the welcome event the day before, celebrated entirely in the main square of the town. We shared our love in front of everyone, without hiding, right in the heart of the village, with everyday life flowing around us. All the locals were involved.”

The Engagement

“I (Luca) proposed to Gianluca. In our relationship, I am the one who loves surprises – always. I love seeing Gianluca’s reactions, especially his shy, slightly embarrassed eyes. Gianluca is quiet and reserved. It was one afternoon last August, at the beach, surrounded by all our closest friends. At sunset, I arrived, got down on one knee, and was wearing a T-shirt that said “bambolina”, the nickname I had always used for Gianluca. The beach was the same one where we spent our very first summer together.”

Why Puglia?

“There couldn’t have been a better place. Puglia is our home, our roots, our land. We wanted to share with all our guests the same energy we grew up with – surrounded by white light and a warm breeze that you can only find in Puglia.”

The Venue

“We decided to get married in the heart of the Valle d’Itria, in Martina Franca. Lately it has become the setting for many luxury brand campaigns, but for us it’s simply home.

The wedding day itself was held at the historic Masseria Palesi. Masseria Palesi is a fortified architectural complex dating back to the 17th century, of great historical, artistic and natural interest. The masseria embodies the history of rural Puglia, its traditions and customs, where the bond between people and the land has always been visceral. It is surrounded by an immense forest of ancient oak trees and a vast organic vineyard, bordered by traditional dry stone walls, now a UNESCO heritage.”

The Planning

“We organised everything in about eight months. They were the most beautiful months of our lives, reliving ten years of history together. For us it felt natural, although being both the grooms and the organisers was a little complicated. The final result was a true team effort – family, collaboration, and a lot of creative planning.”

The Style

“For the welcome event, we wanted to showcase Puglian traditions: the town band playing in the streets, women making fresh pasta and shaping orecchiette, traditional pizzica dancers, and artisans weaving baskets. Everything felt like home, like family.

On the wedding day, we brought French theatre into the masseria – dramatic, romantic, and timeless. The styling felt like an old Parisian café, with music and performances inspired by the Belle Époque. For the after-party, techno music brought us back to our own era, and the old milking room transformed into a club draped in red velvet, complete with a photo gallery installation. Incredible.”

The Production

“After many years working in fashion, events and architecture, we decided to combine our skills and create LORO Production. We design and produce corporate events and weddings, taking care of every detail – from the initial branding concept through to full production.”

Stand Out Moment

“The show dinner, without a doubt. Music, live band, musicians, dancers and a full light show. It was the heart of the wedding, curated down to the smallest detail – every song, every moment. Guests were left speechless, glued to their seats, before exploding into the final party.”

Advice For Couples

“Trust industry experts. Especially for destination weddings, where you don’t know the locations or suppliers – rely on experienced professionals. Be wary of people who improvise. Your day is unique and irreplaceable; there’s no room for mistakes, only room to dream.”
