FAQs

MUSICIANS IN ITALY

What types of performances do your recommended musicians offer?

We can provide music for every part of your wedding day, including the ceremony, aperitivo, dinner service and evening party. Depending on your requirements, this may include solo performers, duos, bands, DJs or a combination of live music and DJ sets.

Can we choose specific songs?

This would be discussed with your chosen performers, but we know our trusted musicians will go above and beyond to ensure you have your special songs where possible.

Can music be provided for both the ceremony and reception?

Many couples book multiple performers to create different vibes in the different parts of the day. A string quartet for the ceremony, an Italian folk band for aperitivo and a band with DJ following for the after party. Depending on your budget you can create a seamless musical experience from the ceremony through to the evening celebrations.

Do the musicians provide their own sound equipment?

Musicians normally provide professional sound equipment suitable for their performance. If your venue requires additional audio production, staging, or specialist equipment, we would suggest looking at our trusted vendors.

Can they perform outdoors?

In many cases, yes. Outdoor performances are subject to suitable weather conditions, power availability and venue regulations. Always discuss logistical requirements in advance with your planner and or venue.

What is the curfew for music in Italy?

Each venue operates different outdoor (and sometimes indoor) music curfews. If you want to party all night outside to a DJ, then make sure you check the rules before booking.

What is SIAE tax and why do I need it?

An amount which is owed to the Societa Italiana degli Autori ed Editori, an Italian governing body for music to be played either live or recorded at any party, event or wedding in Italy. It’s a bit like music royalties. And you need it for any event during your Italian wedding celebration where there is music being played by a band, singer, DJ or through a PA system.
