Tonnara Foderà di Magazzinazzi isn’t your typical wedding venue – it’s a historic seaside estate, full of old world charm.
Once a working tuna fishery built by the Foderà family, the property now feels like an open-air museum, where ancient anchors, nets and fishing vessels tell the story of its glorious past. Set pied dans l’eau , it sits right on the shoreline, with the colours of the sea shifting from soft sunrise pastels to fiery sunsets that light up the bay.
Weddings here are atmospheric, intimate, and deeply characterful. Outdoors, the estate can host up to 300 guests, while covered spaces are currently suited to 100, and the main dining room on the first floor offers space for up to 60. It’s a venue that works best for smaller, soulful celebrations – where history, authenticity and natural beauty create the magic. You can say your vows by the sea, or dine under the stars in the lush garden for a quintessentially Sicilian experience.
Up to 22 guests can stay on site, including in the ancient tower suite overlooking the bay – perfect for newlyweds. With Palermo airport just 25km away and a station across the road connecting to Palermo and Trapani, it’s wonderfully accessible. Add in the option of a welcome aperitif or post-wedding brunch at the family’s castle nearby, and Tonnara Foderà becomes more than a venue: it’s an unforgettable slice of Sicily to make your own.
