La Pescaia
La Pescaia is an enchanting venue, in the heart of Tuscan Maremma. The venue feels like it’s suspended in time – with its original buildings, including Villa Tolomei, 6000 square meters of parks and gardens - it’s a beautiful, authentic location. Nestled between historic olive groves, with jasmine growing all around, at La Pescaia you really feel like you’re in your own world and away from all the pressures of the modern world.
You’ll stay with 36 guests in the most intimate villa and apartments adjacent to the village. You’ll enjoy the spectacular swimming pool created from the ancient "pescaia" pools and the well-kept gardens on which the centuries-old cedar stands out in the middle of the farmyard courtyard. At mealtimes you can dine at the restaurant which offers local recipes and dishes, always organic and al fresco.
The location is steeped in history and has been lovingly bought back to life through an epic restoration project. It’s one of few remaining examples of a nineteenth-century Villa-Farm, La Pescaia Resort is a paradise protected by over six thousand ancient olive trees, pristine forests and hidden paths for lovers of walking and of the horseback riding, an activity that has always been linked to Villa Tolomei.
La Pescaia was recently taken over and is managed today by two young and passionate sisters of Milanese origin - Beatrice and Margherita Ramella. Together with their husbands Gonzalo and Mariano and supported by a young and motivated international staff, the estate is the ideal place for nature lover guests looking for an authentic and sophisticated experience.
