Handcraft Pictures is the wedding film studio of Toby, named one of British Vogue's top three wedding filmmakers, with more than fifteen years of cinematic work behind him.
Toby is obsessed with classic cinema, La Dolce Vita in particular, and that runs right through his films: black and white Hollywood romance for one couple, something closer to Baz Luhrmann for the next, depending on who's in front of him. His set-up is deliberately minimal, built on composition and storytelling rather than kit, so he moves through a wedding lightly while still getting the shots.
We love him for couples marrying in Italy who want a film with real cinematic language to it, and who'd rather barely notice their videographer on the day.
Good to know: Handcraft Pictures covers elopements as well as full weddings, and drone footage is available.
