Barbara Markiewicz is a UK-based destination wedding photographer shooting both digital and film, with a long track record of weddings in Italy alongside her work at home.

She picked up a camera at fifteen and has been studying the craft ever since, through books, art and a long stretch of experimenting with film. That shows in how she covers a wedding: the big moments are there, but so are the quiet exchanges either side of them. Videography and Super 8 are available too, so photo and film can come from one booking.

We love Barbara for international couples marrying in Italy who want a destination photographer who's at home there, and who like the softness film brings to a gallery.

Good to know: Booking photography and film together keeps both working to the same brief across the weekend.
