Mary Tricarico is a Rome-based wedding planner and designer specialising in micro weddings, intimate destination weddings and multi-day celebrations across Veneto, Tuscany, Umbria, Lazio, the Amalfi Coast and Puglia.
With a background in visual arts, scenography and event production, Mary sees design as much more than aesthetics. It’s the thread that connects the setting, architecture, colours, materials and atmosphere with the practical decisions that make a celebration intentional and true to the people at its heart. She begins with each couple’s vision and translates it into a cohesive concept and a carefully structured plan, guiding them through budgets, timelines and supplier coordination with clarity, care and a considered sense of direction. For multi-day celebrations, the local cuisine, art, architecture and traditions of each destination become part of a shared experience, expressing Italy’s authentic character in a way that feels personal to each couple.
We love Mary for couples planning a smaller celebration, from around 10 to 50 guests, who want a design-driven planner and an experience that feels entirely their own.
Good to know: Full planning starts from €5,000 for micro weddings and €6,000 for intimate weddings. Elopements are also available, from €3,000.

From the very first conversation, we felt at ease.
Our experience working with Mary was wonderful. We were introduced to her through our engagement photographer since we were considering planning a wedding abroad in Italy. From the moment we reviewed her page, we knew her design aesthetic was exactly what we were looking for. Planning a wedding from abroad felt overwhelming and challenging at first, especially since we were meeting virtually and unable to come see the venue in person during the planning process. However, from our very first conversation, Mary put us at ease with her calm presence, organization, and clear creative direction.
Mary was communicative and took the time to truly understand our vision, personal style, and priorities to help design the wedding of our dreams. She walked us through every step of the design process from color palettes and textures to florals, tabletop details, lighting, and overall atmosphere. What we appreciated most was how intentional she was with every decision. She also did not just present options but also explained why certain vendors, materials, and design elements would work best together and how they would translate in the space. Her ability to see the full picture while taking these small details into account was impressive.
Despite the distance, Mary made the process feel seamless. She provided beautifully organized visual references and design concepts that helped us confidently envision the final result long before the wedding day. When we finally saw our venue in person and witnessed the full design come to life, we were completely blown away. Every element felt cohesive, refined, and intentional. It was exactly what we had discussed throughout the planning process and even better than what we imagined.
