Planning an Italian wedding in 10 steps

It’s easy when you know how. Well actually it’s not, it takes years to refine how to plan Italian weddings. We break down the main milestones to tackle when you’re planning your Italian wedding.

  1. Viability

What do you want to do and can you do it?

Will your VIP guests travel?

Is it affordable?

2. Research

Educate yourselves in what’s out there. Learn about your options and build a good budget estimate.

What do your dream suppliers cost?

How does all this work?

Do you want a planner?

3. Find your venue

What makes a good wedding venue?

What are our venue criteria?

4. Scope

Now you have your venue, work out everything else you need and want to build your wedding.

What will that cost you?

What order are you going to source suppliers in to align with your priorities?

5. Communicate

Let your guests know your plans!

Let any favourite suppliers know your date (and see if they’ll hold it for you while you get your s**t together)

6. Build your supplier team and get shopping!

Build your dream team and start to find your clothing.

7. Design

Build the style of your wedding and source materials and suppliers to deliver the vision.

Start with a moodboard then decide the elements that make up each part of each wedding moment. Source quotes.

8. Details

Build a timeline, consider all the details: how things will flow, who needs to be where and when and order final bits.

Plan your wedding week and make sure you have time for you.

9. Brief Suppliers

Share your timeline and expectations with suppliers. Make sure they align and everyone’s set.

10. Wedding (week!)

Clear all your payments (you don’t want to deal with anything like that on your day).

Send last comms to guests.

Get ready to have THE TIME OF YOUR LIFE!
