Monique + Thomas effortlessly chic Tuscan wedding

After 10 years together, Monique and Thomas made the long-haul from Australia to Tuscany to get married surrounded by their closest friends and family at Villa Fontelunga. With Alessandra Beltramo Events and Angie Flowers Studio joining forces to craft a day of flowing fabrics, effortless style and intimate, meaningful moments, they brought Monique’s love for fashion and la dolce vita to life. Every detail felt intentional, every laugh and glance felt real and the whole day was equal parts chic, playful and completely them.
“Thomas and Monique’s wedding was pure magic, one of those rare celebrations where love could be felt in every glance, every touch, every smile shared between the people around them.” ~ Alessandra, Planner
Love Story
“We met through friends about 10 years ago. At the time, we were both in our early 20s and not ready for marriage or any big life decisions yet. Since then we have grown so much together, and finally felt like the time was right. Tom proposed in Japan (one of our favourite places) on a snowy Christmas Eve in 2023.”
Why Italy?
“We wanted to have a destination wedding with a small group of our closest friends and family. We love Italian food and wine- so Italy seemed like the perfect choice.”
The Venue
“It’s difficult deciding on a venue when you aren’t able to physically see it! We knew we wanted a villa in Tuscany with enough rooms for our bridal party (about 9 rooms), and we knew we wanted a pool for our recovery day. Villa Fontelunga was always our top choice from the moment we saw it, it just felt right. Our wedding planner did a site visit and FaceTimed us, and we booked it straight away.”
Stand Out Moment
“There were so many highlights, but walking down the aisle and seeing each other, and then reading our vows to each other was the most special moment we will never forget.”
The Style
“The concept design was inspired by a timeless and chic aesthetic, emphasising elegance and sophistication. This was reflected in the choice of materials and fabrics, which exuded refinement without being overly opulent. The draped linens added softness and movement to the setting, while silver candelabras introduced a touch of classic charm. The floral arrangements — composed of rich burgundy tones, sculptural anthuriums, orchids, and clusters of grapes — blended naturally with the Tuscan surroundings, creating a refined yet organic atmosphere.”

Authenticity
“Every single detail of their wedding was carefully designed around them, their story, their style, and their essence as a couple. The result was an atmosphere that felt effortlessly elegant yet deeply personal, a perfect reflection of who they are.”

Advice For Couples
“Set aside a regular date night or days each week to spend time with each other doing something you both love outside of the wedding planning.”
Styling Tips
“Let the environment lead the story. Instead of layering too many ideas, choose one central element or emotion — in this case, the richness of wine — and translate it through color, texture, and materials. Blend florals with unexpected natural elements to create depth and atmosphere. And above all, design not just for visual impact but for how it will feel to sit, touch, taste, and experience the space. That’s where true magic happens.”
