MORE ABOUT THE VENUE

The History

Villa Giulia has a story as captivating as its gardens. Originally a monastery, it became a Napoleonic hunting estate in 1808 under Eugène de Beauharnais, Napoleon’s stepson. In 1850, Carlo Ferri’s daughter, Giulia, renovated the villa and gardens, naming it after herself. A pioneer in photography and mountaineering, she hosted friends including Queen Margherita of Savoy.

Today, her descendant Anna Passi has refreshed the interiors and gardens, adding hand-painted frescoes. Villa Giulia now welcomes guests from around the world to enjoy its magical rooms, timeless gardens, and truly unforgettable atmosphere.

If you’re looking for a charming Italian venue that feels like a wedding retreat combining history and nature, then Relais Villa Giulia is the one for you.
