Code of Ethics

We carefully select competent professionals in the Italian Wedding World to confidently recommend to couples. Vendors and venues are vetted by our strict and bespoke protocol, before acceptance to The Directory.

Membership is conditional on full compliance with this Code.

By joining, vendors enter a binding agreement to uphold the code at all times. If La Lista are notified of breaches The Complaints Procedure will be followed until a final outcome is concluded which can be amendments to business practice, suspension, or removal at La Lista’s discretion.

From time to time, to maintain the Code La Lista may request documentation and conduct secret shopper evaluations of members.

La Lista Directory members must:

  • Act in a professional manner at all times

  • Communicate clearly, promptly, and respectfully

  • Define and meet response times and service expectations with clients

  • Provide services free from discrimination

  • Treat all clients equally

  • Support inclusive practices

  • Provide legally approved written contracts before engagement

  • Ensure clear, itemised pricing

  • Disclose commissions, referrals, and financial interests that influence their wedding directly to clients

  • Clearly distinguish paid promotion from organic content

  • Deliver agreed services

  • If unable to deliver: Provide a suitable replacement or issue a fair, proportionate refund

  • Hold valid Public Liability Insurance

  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations in country of origin

  • Comply with GDPR and data protection laws

  • Use personal data, only with consent

  • Operate in full compliance with Italian law

  • Obtain permission to use content

  • Credit all creatives

  • Never claim others’ work

  • Follow an internal AI and Ethics policy

  • Not use AI or other vendors work to mislead, fabricate work, or misrepresent services

Members must report breaches within 48 hours and cooperate with investigations. Failure to disclose known Code of Ethics breach is a breach in itself.

La Lista operates a complaints process. Outcomes may include warning, suspension or removal. All decisions are final.

La Lista is a paid directory. All revenue is reinvested into the platform. Payment does not guarantee acceptance or retention.

La Lista is not responsible for vendor performance. Contracts are between vendor and client.

By joining La Lista, the vendor agrees to comply fully with this Code of Ethics and accepts enforcement of its terms.
