COMMON QUESTIONS FROM COUPLES

Q. Does La Lista offer a planning service?

We are founded by wedding planners, so all advice found on our site is written by experts. The Club is our planning membership which offers expert support and guidance through every aspect of planning. Through our supplier area on our website you will find our recommended planners.

Q. How does La Lista find suppliers to list in the directory?

A lot of suppliers reach out to us via Instagram or through our Join page on our website, they are then sent our English/Italian version of our brochure which includes information about our listing and the costs involved. If the supplier is not known to us we will interview, do some background checks on their services and ask for client testimonials.

Q. Does La Lista interview suppliers who appear on the directory?

Thanks to over 20 years of being in the Italian wedding industry we have built relationships with many suppliers and venues. We conduct different interview processes depending on which supplier we are going to be listing I.e wedding planners are interviewed over the telephone or in-person by one of our founders who speak both Italian and English.

Q. Why does La Lista ask all people joining the couple’s Facebook Group to agree to group rules?

The main goal of this group is to provide couples with a safe space to query their planning, ask for advice and make supplier and venue recommendations. We want to create an environment where couples feel completely at ease to ask any question however big or small. Couples only, respect everyone’s privacy, be kind, no hate speech or bullying.

Q. What should you do if a supplier or venue you have booked from La Lista’s directory does not deliver what they have agreed to in their contract?

Firstly, we advise reaching out to the supplier to express your unhappiness with their service and try and find a solution. You can email hello@lalista.com to report a supplier issue and we will contact them for their account of the issue. La Lista can not act as an intermediary but we can offer advice and support.

Q. When would La Lista remove a supplier from the directory?

If a complaint against a listed supplier is made either direct to us or via our couples Facebook group we will approach the supplier for their side. This will be fed back to the couple direct or on the Facebook group if the complaint has been made public. If the supplier has broken our code of ethics or has received numerous proven complaints then they will be removed. La Lista reserves the right to temporarily remove the supplier whilst investigating. We always advise resolving the dispute in a respectful manner.

Q. Who can apply to be listed on the La Lista directory?

If you are a talented wedding industry professional with experience delivering weddings in Italy then you can apply through our Join page. If you want to break into the destination wedding market but have no experience, then pop us an email to hello@lalista.com and make sure you sign up to the La Lista Collective - our brand new platform for suppliers wanting to grow and feel supported in the wedding industry.

Q. Why does La Lista not list all suppliers who request to be on the directory?

We want to create a directory of the most ethical suppliers in the industry, whilst not overwhelming couples who are searching for their wedding team. Our photographer category always runs a waitlist as it is one of our most popular.

Q. Can anyone submit a real wedding to be published?

In short - yes. We publish real weddings submitted by both suppliers listed on La Lista and ones who aren’t. Please note, we cannot publish all real weddings but do prioritise LL members work. Submission forms can be found here.

Q. Why does La Lista promote non-members on social media channels?

We use inspirational posts to inspire and build our audience, which means a larger group of potential clients for our suppliers. Some of the posts are purely focused on our listed members and some are of work from the industry we love.

Q. Why does La Lista not allow suppliers in the couples Facebook group?

We have a directory on our website where couples can find suppliers who we recommend. The Facebook group is designed for couples only to ask for peer support and advice, with the La Lista team supporting conversations and answering queries. Suppliers who find themselves in this group will be removed.

Q. How does La Lista manage complaints against suppliers?

If a complaint is made in the Facebook group or via email to the La Lista Team the team will use their discretion to determine the severity of the issue. If the complaint is severe, the complaint will be shared with the supplier. The complainant’s name will be omitted. The supplier will be asked for a response against the allegations.

Unless there is proof the complaint is completely false, the post will remain in the Facebook group. We encourage suppliers and couples to discuss any issues in a proactive and respectful way. Our full Complaints Protocol can be read here.
