Ash Davenport is a UK-based wedding photographer working in Italy and worldwide, with a deliberately boutique approach: a limited number of weddings each year, each given proper attention.

Ash spends time before the wedding understanding the atmosphere a couple wants, which is what lets him move through the day almost unnoticed and photograph it as it happens. His focus is on the quiet glances and the unguarded energy between people once they've forgotten the camera. Alongside digital, he shoots 35mm film and Super 8, which bring texture and grain and slow the whole process down.
