Monti and Mason

Martina and Jack are a married filmmaking duo based in Rome. They both studied film, and Martina also has a background in fashion photography. They first met in Cape Town in 2013, after Martina moved from Italy to South Africa, and married in 2018.

As a couple, they bring a natural understanding of the significance of a wedding day, and a shared commitment to preserving its meaning through honest, lasting imagery. They place strong importance on working closely with each couple, ensuring the final film reflects their personality and story.

Their approach is rooted in documentary storytelling, focusing on candid, unposed moments, with gentle direction only where needed and always guided by the couple’s comfort.

Drawn to analogue processes, they work with 35mm photography alongside Super 8 and Super 16 film, valuing the timeless, cinematic quality these formats bring.

After beginning their wedding work in South Africa, they relocated to Italy in 2023. Since then, they have filmed weddings across Tuscany, Ibiza, Cape Town, Lake Como, and Switzerland, and continue to travel worldwide.
