Charlie is the filmmaker behind The Jade Loft. He creates story-driven wedding films for couples who want to remember more than what happened, they want to remember how it felt.

With a background in commercial filmmaking, his approach blends documentary storytelling with a cinematic eye. Charlie is drawn to the moments in between: the nervous glances, the laughter, the voices of the people you love, the quiet pauses and all the beautiful imperfections that make a wedding uniquely yours.

Charlie incorporates Super 8mm film alongside digital cinematography, adding a nostalgic, tactile quality to certain moments. Real sounds and voices are an important part of his films too, woven through the imagery to bring you back to the atmosphere of the day.

Based in Sydney, Charlie films weddings throughout Australia, Italy and Europe. He intentionally only takes on a limited number of weddings each year so he can give every couple the care and creative attention their story deserves.
