La Casa del Gelso
Casa del Gelso is a historic countryside wedding venue in Abruzzo, set just outside the hilltop village of Città Sant'Angelo between the Adriatic Sea and the Apennine Mountains. Dating back to the 19th century, the farmhouse has been cared for by the Imperato family for generations and sits within one of the region's oldest agricultural estates, surrounded by mulberry trees, wheat fields and open countryside.
The atmosphere is warm and understated, offering an authentic setting for destination weddings that embrace the beauty of the Abruzzo landscape. During the warmer months, ceremonies and receptions can take place beneath the estate's centuries-old mulberry tree, while the light-filled reception hall, complete with a fireplace and panoramic windows, provides an elegant indoor option for celebrations throughout the year. Since 2019, Casa del Gelso has also been licensed to host legally recognised civil ceremonies on site.

No vendor restrictions - couples are free to choose their own suppliers. Included in the venue fee, an experienced external Wedding Planner will take care of everything: vendor research and proposals, logistical and design planning, accommodation management, curated guest experiences, full day-of coordination with dedicated staff, and language mediation for international couples.
Booking policy
A non-refundable booking fee of €1,000 secures your date. A personalised payment schedule will then be agreed upon together with the venue, tailored to your planning timeline.
