Convento Francescano Experience Hotel is a 5-star boutique wedding venue set within a restored 14th-century Franciscan convent in Cilento National Park. The atmosphere is intimate and architectural rather than grand, with historic stone, cloisters and frescoed interiors shaping the experience.

The layout lends itself naturally to progressive weddings, with each part of the celebration unfolding in a different space. A deconsecrated church and frescoed chapel are available for symbolic ceremonies, while the cloister works well for spring and summer receptions. Inside, refined lounges and reception rooms offer alternatives for cooler months.

Outdoors, the venue is arranged across three levels: an upper terrace beneath the bell tower suited to welcome drinks or food stations; a second terrace with a stone pool and solarium, often used for cocktails or a DJ set; and a Mediterranean garden framed by olive trees for more relaxed moments.

The Convento can host weddings for up to 300 guests, with 7 bedrooms available on site, sleeping 14 guests. As a boutique five-star hotel, Convento Francescano offers seven double rooms, each designed with unique character and maximum comfort. Every room — from the Deluxe to the Suite — features a freestanding bathtub, luxury amenities, and a carefully curated mix of historical charm and contemporary design.
Room sizes range from 22 sqm for the smallest rooms to 55 sqm for the largest Suite, allowing the venue to accommodate up to 14 guests on-site.

Wet weather

Main wet weather plan is a deconsecrated church located within the property, which can host up to 300 guests indoors.
Additionally, the covered walkways of the cloister can provide shelter for more intimate moments or transitions between spaces. A smaller but atmospheric frescoed chapel, which is fully enclosed and can be used depending on the style and size of the event.

In-house kitchen, the boutique hotel also offers dinner service to guests and a limited number of external visitors. The restaurant is intentionally intimate and refined. For weddings of up to 60 guests, the venue are able to manage all food service internally with their culinary team. For larger weddings, they collaborate with a curated selection of external caterers. They can offer a wide range of options, from high-end fine dining experiences to more informal and approachable menus, depending on the couple’s preferences and the style of the celebration.

Deposit: 30% of the total amount is required as a non-refundable confirmation deposit upon signing of this agreement.
Final Balance: The remaining amount must be paid no later than 30 days prior to the event date.

Where to stay

Additional accommodation is available in a number of charming bed & breakfasts, some located directly within the same village as the Convento Francescano, and others in nearby villages such as Ceraso.
The venue also collaborate with several luxury resorts and 4- to 5-star hotels along the Cilento coast, approximately 15–20 minutes by car from the property.

Accessibility

Due to the historic nature of the building, originally a 14th-century Franciscan convent, full accessibility is unfortunately limited.
There is an access point that was adapted during structural renovation works by the municipality, but many areas of the property — including the external terraces and some event spaces — are reached via stairs or narrow passageways, which may not be suitable for guests with reduced mobility.
