Set among 22 hectares of olive groves between Ceglie Messapica, Ostuni and Cisternino, Monte Papa Estate, part of the Tellua Places hospitality brand, is perfect for your wedding celebration across generous outdoor spaces, with whitewashed trulli and views over the Valle d'Itria as the backdrop. It has the feel of a private family-run compound rather than a hotel, with Trulli Andrea and Trulli Lucia each sleeping up to 12 guests on their own hilltop, and the Olive Valley welcoming up to 300 guests when you take the whole estate.

Good to know: Monte Papa Estate has no in-house catering and welcomes external caterers and suppliers, so you can choose your own team, subject to prior approval.

Accommodation

Monte Papa Estate comprises two private villas, Trulli Andrea and Trulli Lucia, each accommodating up to 12 guests. The villas can be booked individually or together, offering on-site accommodation for up to 24 guests across the estate. Additional sleeping arrangements may be available on request and subject to the final configuration and prior agreement.

Wet weather

Wet-weather arrangements can be tailored to each event in collaboration with the wedding planner, with marquee and covered solutions available depending on guest numbers and the chosen set-up. As Monte Papa Estate is primarily an outdoor venue, there is no single indoor space designed to accommodate the full wedding party.

Catering

The venue does not offer in-house catering. They work with a selection of trusted external caterers and are also happy to consider other caterers proposed by the couple or their wedding planner, subject to prior approval.

Supplier policy

The venue have a preferred list of trusted suppliers that they are happy to recommend, but couples are not required to use them. External suppliers are welcome, subject to prior approval and compliance with the estate’s operational requirements.

Booking policy

A 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. A further 50% is due six months before the event, with the remaining 20% payable one month before the event.

A wide range of hotels, masserie and private villas can be found nearby in Ceglie Messapica, Ostuni and Cisternino, all within easy reach of the estate. The venue team can assist with recommendations and help identify suitable accommodation depending on the size and requirements of the wedding party.

Accessibility

Some indoor spaces are not fully accessible to guests with reduced mobility. Please discuss any specific accessibility requirements with the venue in advance so that they can advise on the most suitable spaces and arrangements.

Trulli Andrea: up to 180 guests; Trulli Lucia: up to 120 guests.
For full-estate buyouts, the Olive Valley can accommodate up to 300 guests, with larger events considered on request depending on the set-up and production requirements.

Accommodation
Monte Papa Estate can be booked for a full week or for shorter stays. Weekly stays typically run from Saturday to Saturday, with the main celebration held on Thursday. Shorter stays can also be arranged depending on dates, guest numbers and the overall event format. For weddings and private events, the applicable weekly accommodation rate applies even where a shorter stay is agreed. We particularly welcome multi-day celebrations (3 days), giving guests the opportunity to enjoy the estate beyond the wedding day itself.

Accommodation rates vary according to the villa and season:
– Trulli Lucia: from €7,500 to €13,000
– Trulli Andrea: from €9,500 to €16,900

Wedding & event venue fees
– Main wedding day at Trulli Andrea or Trulli Lucia: €3,000 per villa/location
– Additional event days, such as a welcome aperitivo or farewell gathering: €1,500 per day, per villa/location
– Events held in the Olive Valley: €4,500 for up to 150 guests. Use of the Olive Valley is available only with exclusive hire of the full estate. For events above 150 guests, the venue fee is quoted on a bespoke basis depending on the scale, set-up and overall event requirements.

The fee includes daily housekeeping for staying guests and, for week-long stays, one mid-stay linen change.

Event coordination
option 1)When an external wedding planner is appointed, a venue coordination fee of €2,750 applies. Our trusted event coordinator works alongside the couple’s planner to support the planning process, coordinate access and suppliers, manage the requirements of the estate and help ensure the event runs smoothly while protecting the property and its operations.
option 2)Alternatively, our preferred event planner can take on the full planning and coordination of the celebration, with fees starting from €5,750 for a multi-day event, depending on the scope and requirements. In this case, the separate venue coordination fee does not apply.

What is not included:
Unless otherwise agreed, accommodation and venue fees do not include third-party wedding and event costs such as catering and beverages, florals and styling, furniture and equipment hire, entertainment, sound and lighting, marquee or wet-weather structures, guest transport, external suppliers, or any additional services requested for the event.
Any additional cleaning, staffing, security, technical requirements or other event-specific services will be quoted separately once the event format, guest numbers and set-up have been confirmed.
